Jul 28, 2009 Vinco French 2009 champion by Team VincoMX
Our french reseller Workshop (PonskMX) http://www.ponskmx has done it again!

Their factory rider Jimmy Peyras just won the french 12inch Pro class of 2009.
There is still one last race left, but Jimmy Peyras has 81 points in advance and you can only score a maximum of 50 points on one event.

We would like to thank Workshop and Jimmy for taking Vinco to the top in France. For those who don t know him, Benjamin CAUWEL, one of our french clients' did a little interview and shot a few pics.

BC : Hi Jimmy

JP: Hi Ben

BC: You are a star in France, but in the US no one knows who you are… tell us a few things about yourself.

JP: I was born on May 19th 1990. I started riding at 4 ½ years old on a piwi, just like everyone else (smiles), I then rode 60s, 80s. I raced in miniverts, cadet, junior, but never obtained anything better than top10. I also rode the nationals on a 250, but I was too inconsistent to claim for a title.

BC: When did you start riding minis as a factory rider?

JP: I started in 2007 for a French company called Mistral. They had an airbox in the frame, and a few other interesting things. Those people were crazy (smile) they had no real idea of what it takes to win… I joined Workshop (Ponskmx) in 2008, and with Romain and Julian’s help, we started to get some results. We have one final race in September for the French championship, but I m already this year’s champion with 81 points in advance (you can only score 50 max in one event).

BC: How do you like your Vinco?

JP: It s an excellent bike. We have modded the suspension and the frame a little, but it s the best bike out there for sure. I used to ride a Takegawa DOHC, but I now run a full modded Daytona 150 (we are limited to 150cc in the European championships). The motor is prepared by my dad and our factory specialist.

BC: You were in Vegas this year… what happened ?

JP: We decided to go to Vegas 3 weeks before the event. We really weren t ready for the event. Our bike wasn t ready till the day before the race. I only tested it a few hours, but we weren t able to tune it (no sprockets, carbs, intakes etc…). I was in the top5 during the qualifiers, but I broke my piston and had no spares. This year’s experience will be remembered, we will not make the same mistake for Vegas in 2010.

BC: This was you first time in the US, did you like it?

JP: The States are like a totally different planet. Not everything is green (remembers the food), but I was very impressed. Americans do know how to pull a show, it s THE land of mx. Nothing in the world can compare. Next year I would like to fly to LA and test all available tracks (smile). I just hope that Vinco will support us, and that our bike will be ready to race.

BC: If you could give Vinco some feedback to get better FA-22 models, what would they be?

JP: The rear is too low, and even with our modifications, I still bottom out. We also modified the rake (to my likings), put CR85 forks, and took a spacer out in the Fox shock to rise the bike a little more. This wouldn not be a problem for most riders, but the competition in pro class is so fierce that we really need the bike to be 100% to my linkings.

BC: Thank you very much for your time Jimmy. Would you like to add something?

JP: I want to to thank Workshop (PonskMx) for sponsoring me and always being there to help me out. I would also like to thank Kyle from VincoMx. He s a very trustworthy guy, and a real mini addict.

May 10, 2009 Vinco Vegas Race Bike by Team Vinco MX

Jimmy Peyras who has been absolutely DOMINATING the French 12" Pro Class this season flew in to race Vegas this year with us- We set him up with a Takegawa 124 DOHC, VINCO FOX Showas, and a few other goodies to dial the bike in to his liking- we were very anxious to see how things would go this year as he posted the 3rd fastest lap times in all the practice rounds- as luck would have it we blew a brand new piston in his Qualifier and didn't have enough time to put it back together for the LCQ.  But Jimmy hasn't let that slow him down- since then he has been killing the French Pit Bike Series and is the Current Points Leader.  We want to Thank Workshop for their support and wer are Excited about what next year will bring!!

Feb 24, 2009 Vinco MX Italian Mobster Edition by Team Vinco MX
Our Great team in Italy -MOBSTER PITBIKES- just released their Mobster version of the FA22 Vinco Pitbike at the Biggest race in Italy! Their Rider was running a YX 150 (europe restricts the riders to 150cc) fighting off the Mud and weather... Leading in the first heat and unfortunately a broken DID chain in the main would give the Team an abrupt finish. They have a top rider for this season who loves how light and agressive the vinco Chassis handles so we should see some GREAT results ths year!
We are excited to see the brand taking off in Europe with all the efforts of Mobster in Italy...they are a great company who have a long history in supermoto, racing,  motocross and pitbikes and are passionate about the sport!! They are helping us develop an FA22 supermoto version that should be alot of fun!  The Mobster version of the bike has the new Grimeca Front Brake- we're waiting for our first shipment to try one out ourselves... Watch for more race results and check out the Gallery for Action shots from the race!

Sep 08, 2008 TEXAS NATIONALS RESULTS by team vinco MX
We'll we made it back from Texas- We definitly had a few snags to work through- but  Rudi Williams #193 finished 6th overall in the 12" Pro Class and PJ Kerr (one of our customers from Texas) finished 3rd overall in the 200+ class. Our other Two Riders rode really well but had motor problems that didn't allow them to finish.

We learned alot from our first big event- We will definitely be back at the next big nationals with Big built motors- we were way underpowered!!
